Travel Hockey
Our Travel Program is a tryout program for 10U through 16U players. We will field multiple teams at each level when participation dictates. Season descriptions will be listed when registration opens in July. These teams play in the Missouri Amateur Ice Hockey Association and require a higher level of travel and commitment than our other programs.
Ages
What aged players are appropriate for this program?
Answer: Appropriate players at least 9 years old who have completed at least one year of previous organized hockey.
When
What time of the year does this program run?
Answer: Registration opens in July, with tryouts in August and the season runs until playoffs in February with Championships in March.

8U Full Ice – Monday 8/25 & Wednesday 8/27 @ 5:30-6:30 PM
10U – Monday 8/25 & Wednesday 8/27 @ 6:45-7:45 PM
12U – Tuesday 8/26 & Thursday 8/28 @ 5:30-6:30 PM
14U – Tuesday 8/26 & Thursday 8/28 @ 6:45-7:45 PM
16U – Tuesday 8/26 & Thursday 8/28 @ 8:00-9:00 PM
Players must register before attending tryouts. Registration will be locked the evening before each tryout session. Players not placed on a travel team will have their tryout fee transferred to House program dues.
Where
Where are practices and games typically held?
Answer: Practices and Games will be held at the First National Bank Arena located in the Decatur Civic Center. Away games will be played across the Missouri area.
Practices
When are practices and how often are they?
Answer: Teams practice 2-3 times per week.
Games
How many games will they play? What days of the week?
Answer: Teams will play 20-30 games over the course of the season and will usually fall on the weekends.
Jerseys
Are jerseys provided or are they purchased separately?
Answer: Club jerseys are required and may be purchased at registration in our DYHA Pure Hockey online store.
Extra Costs
What costs beyond registration fees should be expected?
Answer: Two tournaments are generally covered by dues. If a team does additional tournaments, additional fees will result.
Scholarship Program
Is there financial assistance for families in need of help?
